Printing Love Cards Reports
Your Love Cards Reporter 3.0 program will create three distinct types of relationship reports. All use the same basic form, pictured below, to get your preferences before the report is printed. There are small variations for the different kinds of reports but they are almost inperceptable. The form that is used is pictured here and there are many options that you can select or deselect.
What You Can Do on this Form
1. Print a report for any two people with as many as ten connections.
Press the Run Report button.
2. Choose one of three title page graphics for your report. The default one
that comes up is the one recommended. You can also preview any of the graphics
before printing to see them before printing.
3. Print to a printer, file or email. The file will be a PDF file that will
be located in the PDF folder under your Love Cards main directory.
4. Adjust the quality of the PDF file to make it smaller in size or higher
in resolution.
5. Decide whether you want to have page numbers printed on the pages or not.
The default is yes.
6. Change the page number the report starts on.
7. Eliminate duplicate connections, that is, connections which will yield
the exact same text as some other connection listed.
8. Adjust the bottom margin of the report. This is used for some printers
that cannot print more than 5/8" from the bottom of the page.
9. Decide how many connections you want to print. Eight is the default and
is recommended.
10. Select or unselect any parts of the report that you want to print or not.
In this way, you can just print certain sections if you desire.

Other Questions Related to this Form
1. What does Allow Duplicates mean?
Even though some connections may use different cards or significators, they might end up having the identical interpretation text in your report. This would be very boring for the person reading the report since they would have already read the same text earlier on a different connection. To prevent this from occurring, your Love Cards program will search for those and prevent any duplicate connections from being printed. It is recommended that you leave this checkbox unchecked for any printed reports.2. How much does the Image Size/PDF Quality Slider affect the size of the PDF files and the quality of the reports themselves?
Here is an example: Using our sample clients, Ben and Jennifer, I ran a report with the seven connections they have. It came to 1.1 megabytes using the quality setting of 70%. When I moved the slider to 10%, the size was about 600K, about 55% the size of the first one. As for quality, you will have to judge for yourself. The things that get compressed to make the file smaller are mainly the graphics. If you do some experiments yourself, you can see the difference in graphic quality and judge just how much compression is best for your reports.3. Why can't I select the Personality Card Descriptions for this report?
These two selections are only available when you have selected some personality cards on the Select Comparisons form. In other words, the program likes to only tell the reader about cards that are actually being used in the report, not just all the possible cards they could have.
1. How to print a report to your printer without any changes
The program is set up so that it defaults to a complete relationship report with eight connections to your printer. So, in this case, all you need to do is click on the Run Report button. If most of your reports are done on your printer, this will be your easiest part. One click does it. You will have one more step after that because this form comes up:
Notice that the default is to run a preview of the report first. You can change this by just clicking on the Printer radio button. That will cause your report to go directly to the printer.If you select the Preview instead, you will be looking at:
Notice that you are not seeing all of the page, just a portion. You can expand the page like you do any Windows window by resizing it. Then, you can use the Zoom In or Zoom Out buttons to arrange the page so you can see it all, if you wish. Here is the same page, resized to see the entire page.
5. How to Create a PDF file report
By selecting PDF File from the Output Type
box, you will be able to make your report a PDF file. These are handy because
they can be sent to others on a floppy disk or CD-ROM or other media. A PDF
file is a file that can be read and printed from Adobe Acrobat Reader, which
is a free program that most people have on their computers. Anyone can get
the reader at this url:

When you select a PDF report, you will first have to tell the program where to put it. The default location is a folder called PDF which is located under the Love Cards program main directory. If you allowed the installation program to install its defaults, that location will be C:\Program Files\Book of Destiny 3.0\PDF\. This is also the directory that the emailed PDFs are kept in. But you have the option to save your PDF report anywhere you want, using the dialog box below:
Just change the Look in: location and that is where your PDF report will be saved. You can even change the name of the PDF report if you desire, using this same dialog box. Just type the name into the File name: edit box. Once you have selected the name and location of your PDF report, click the Open button and the report will be generated. Then, it will be saved at your location and you will get a message such as:
6. How to create a Friends and Family
Report
The Friends and Family Report is selected from the Main program screen as shown here:
From there, the process is identical to creating a Lover's Profile report.
7. How to Create a System 52 Business Associates Compatibility Report
The System 52 Business Associates Compatibility Report has a some small differences from the others. But first, you select it just as you do the others, as shown here:
Once the report selection screen appears, shown below, you will notice one thing different:
The difference is the Use Birth Card description for PR Cards checkbox, which does not appear on the other report forms. This is a special thing just for the Business Associates report and it is recommended, by Robert Camp, that you use it. The reason for this is that the Birth Card descriptions in the Business Associates report are different than for the other reports. They are shorter in length and do not have any of the personal and romantic content that we find in the other reports. And, they would be very appropriate for the Planetary Ruling Card descriptions. So, if you check this box, that is what will happen. The newly written Birth Card descriptions will also be used for the Planetary Ruling Card descriptions in the report.
The rest of the report is identical to the other two and the process of running them is the same. You might want to read over one of these Business Reports. They make no mention of Love Cards and would be very appropriate for any business related application. You may even find a new market for them.
8. How to make your email reports smaller so that they are faster to send and receive by your customers
This is accomplished by the Image Quality / PDF Size slider, depicted here:
Essentially, the way it works is like this: the higher the number and the more to the right side the slider is, the larger the reports will be and the better quality they will be. The more to the left and the smaller the number displayed, the smaller the reports will be and the less quality they will be. Read also the question about this above.
9. How to print only certain pages in a report
There are several ways to do this. First of all, you can select just certain sections of the report to be printed on the form above. For example, you could click the Clear All button then check just the Main Title Page box. That will only print the title page of the report. Conversely, you could deselect the Main Title Page box and the report would print without it. However, some sections contain more than one page, sometimes many pages. If you want to just print out just one or more pages specifically from a complete report, you can do that from the print preview form, illustrated HERE. If, while previewing a report, you click on the Printer button, you will come to this screen, where you can print out any selection of pages from the complete report:
Here you can check the Pages radio button and type in whatever pages you like. You can type in one page, such as '15' or a selection of page, such as '1 - 12'. Then, the program will print out just those pages.
10. How to Edit or Change the Personal Banner that is displayed at the bottom of each page of your reports
From the Main Form, select Edit / Personal Banner from the menu. This will bring up the following form:
Just type in the information you want to display in your reports. This information will be displayed at the bottom of each page in your report, except the Title Page. You can edit or change this anytime you like.
11. How to edit the text of the reports
This is also accomplished from the Main program Screen. Click on the Edit / Report Text menu item. This will launch a special program that allows you to edit most of the text found in your Love Cards reports, as illustrated below:
On the left are the different categories of text files that are editable in the program. In the middle is a list of all of the text files in that categorie and on the right is the actual text of the file that is selected in the middle. You can edit these files as you please. Be aware however, that some of these text files are a certain length. If you change the length to a longer length, by adding more words, it may not print correctly on the page. However, all of the Birth Card, Planetary Ruling Card and Personality Card descriptions can be edited to be as long as you want.
